Let the Festivities Begin!

So I always talk about having a birthday month...but Taylor is taking it a step further! This last week Auntie Ashley & Uncle Joel drove from Portland to come visit Taylor and to officially start off the birthday celebrations! Ry & I both had to work the next day so Auntie babysat all day and Uncle Joel went snowboarding! Then we got to take Ashley on a mini Salt Lake tour and had a great time visiting! Taylor loved having visitors and of course was showered with love and gifts! She had her first taste of birthday cake...although she surprised us all with her reaction! She HATED getting frosting on her and screamed over the mess it was making! We enjoyed the cake though! Note to self...next weekends birthday cake..no chocolate!
Here are some fun pictures of our time together! Thanks for making the LONG drive and braving the weather to come visit Joel & Ash...miss you already!

Fun gifts from Auntie & Uncle

Silly Uncle Joel...that's not where my socks go!

Happy early Birthday Taylor!

These Shoes Are Made For Walking....

Taylor learns to walk at 10 1/2 months!

One of the first things I bought when I found out we were having a baby girl!

Taylor is officially walking! My Mom was here this past weekend and her goal was to teach Taylor how to walk. To all of our surprise she started walking the night my Mom flew in...technically before she landed...but it was all on the same weekend! She started out with 4-6 steps between Ryan and I and quickly progressed to walking from one end of the room to the other. I am still caught off guard every time I look over at her and she is just waddling around on her own. Taylor is LOVING her new-found freedom and will often knock herself over due to clapping and cheering out of sheer joy that she is walking! My little baby girl isn't so little anymore! She will be 11 months tomorrow! While I was writing in her journal today about this big accomplishment I also took a moment to jot down her other big milestones thus far...I thought I might as well blog it!

Taylor's Words...in order
Dadda
Baba (she likes to scream this when she is ready to eat)
Mama
Hi
Bye Bye
Moo (show her a cow and she can't stop saying this one...)
Tickle-Tickle
Ball (she loves balls...and her Daddy already taught her "touch-down", which consists of Taylor throwing the ball down and putting her arms straight up in the air everytime she finds a ball)
No-No (not a big fan of this...she copies me when I say it to her...but it's so freakin' cute!)
Whoa!

Taylor's "Tricks"
Claps
Points
Waves
Plays Peek-a-Boo (will pull her blankie over her head and play this over and over again)
Blows Kisses (mostly to Haley and Grandpa on Skype)
Crawls
Dances
Walks
