Bryan & Courtney's Vancouver Reception
On August 14th my Mom and I had a great time catering and decorating for Bryan and Courtney's Vancouver reception. It was a chance for all our family and friends in the area to celebrate with the Bride & Groom since the wedding was in Wisconsin and so many of them weren't able to attend. It was a little crazy getting everything ready but in the end we were thrilled with how it all turned out! The flowers were amazing thanks to Mom and the food was great too! Of course I brought all my accessories so I could add some fun touches here and there! Ryan's cousin Mike and his wife Kim were so wonderful to open their beautiful home to us and man did we take over! Joel & Ashley let me take over their kitchen to do all the prep work which was a huge help! We served yummy appetizers, refreshing drinks and personalized cupcakes! Well I just love a good party you know!

Oh Thank You Haley...
We have been enjoying beautiful sunsets here in The Big and every night our hearts are melted as Tay looks out the window and says "Oh thank you Haley, it's beautiful". We ask her what's beautiful and she says "Haley colored the sky pink, Oh thank you Haley".
It's happened quite a few times now and still brings us to tears every time. Talk about melting your heart! We told Taylor that Haley is in Heaven and watches over her to make sure she is safe, apparently she is also painting the sky for us each night too! It's the little things like this that make you smile. We love you Haley, thank you for the pink sky!
EEEEEEEEK! SNAKE!
Ok, sorry for the horrible picture....but I just had to share about our recent encounters with snakes, raccoons, deer, frogs, etc....in our yard! I have to admit I can handle all of them except for the snakes...Ryan having been raised in the city...he really doesn't enjoy any of their company! This snake was the second one he has had to kill this summer and it was a nasty one! We are definitely not in the city anymore! Poor Ryan of course has to be the one to get rid of all our new little and sometimes quite large friends. Thanks for being so brave Ry!

Union County Fair & Parade
We had a great time yesterday watching the parade with our friends Monica, Eric & Sophie...Tay loved catching the candy and Sophie even got her first lollipop! The highlight for Tay was seeing Smokey the Bear! She is obsessed ever since she learned about him at Wallowa Lake and asks us to tell her stories about him all the time! So when Smokey showed up larger than life and on a big fire truck...Tay was out of her mind excited! She was pointing and laughing and screaming "Hi Smokey the Bear, Hi!" People probably thought we were crazy because Ryan and I were doing the same! Haha!
Next we were off to the Fair! Taylor loved seeing all of the animals, especially the pigs because they were quite talkative. I was enjoying it too until one of them shook and got Pig all over me! Gross! We enjoyed hand-dipped corn dogs and all the sights a fair has to offer! Daddy even won Tay a big duck and she won herself a frog! Of course Taylor was freaking adorable in her pink cowgirl boots that sparkle and light up! Everyone kept pointing at them and she loved showing them how they light up by stomping real hard!
Just another great day spent in The Big!

BIG GIRL BED!
It's Offical. Taylor Ann is a BIG GIRL! She is a big girl panties wearin', big girl bed sleepin', not a baby anymore...BIG GIRL! Not going to lie...I did shed a tear on the last night I laid her down in her crib and as we took it apart. It's so amazing how quickly our baby girl is growing up. Taylor LOVES her big girl bed and we are so excited (more like anxious) for Papa to build her big girl Headboard/Footboard. Of course being the obsessive designer Mom that I am...its driving me nuts just having the bed on rails! I know, I know...I really do have issues. As if Taylor even notices or cares! :) Now I just need to finish window treatments and painting trim! The projects never end!
Taylor's favorite thing about her big girl bed? Her Tinkerbell pillow! We were so surprised at how easy the transtition was for her...no problems at all! When the room is "post worthy" I will take some more pictures!

It's Been So Long!
A week after having the Wolf Family here in The Big we made the quick trip over to Boise to visit them! I was in MAJOR need of a hair fix and the girls just LOVE playing together. Oh and I REALLY wanted to shop in the "big city"! We had a great time of course! The girls had a blast, Angie did an amazing job on my hair and the best part...we got a babysitter and had a night out on the town just the 4 of us! Luke and Angie treated us to an amazing dinner at a great restaurant called Reef. We sat on the rooftop and enjoyed delicious food and wonderful company! We love you guys...thanks again for a great weekend!
