99 Walnut

So we bought a house this month and of course that meant we needed my Papa to come take a look at it and start planning all of our projects!  We also really wanted to take our Haley girl to the new house so she could see where we will be moving, it was so great to see her checking out the property.  Papa and I started drafting right away and have already made quite a few plans for our new home.  Ryan and I are thrilled to have found a home that we can call ours and to start in on all of our fun projects to really make it ours!  Taylor loves the fact that she has much more room to run around and especially loves the horses she can see up on the hill and the monkies she believes live in all of our fruit trees. Ryan and I love the views...oh the views...and the 5 bed/3 bath/2 levels!  We have a lot of work ahead of us in updating this home and making the changes we have planned...but we are excited for the opportunity and I am really working on my patience!  As Taylor would sing to me "have patience...have patience...don't be in such a hurry"!
It was a good weekend with Papa and Backa in town...and Haley especially loved having Madison come over and visit!   She is doing good and we are so amazed at how hard she is still fighting this horrible thing called cancer.  We love her and are so thankful to have her here with us still.

More...Yes More...Birthday Pictures

Just a few more pictures of all the fun we had celebrating Taylor's Birthday...both at her party and on her actual birthday with Sophie!

Easter at the Coast

Since we were all at the beach to celebrate Tay's Birthday we also got to spend Easter together, which was great.  At one point I looked down the dining table and realized that for the first time in a very long time we were ALL together....including our Grandparents!  That is a moment to be thankful for.

Taylor's Minnie Mouse Party...She is 2!

On Saturday the 3rd we had Taylor's 2nd Birthday Party at Backa and Papa's house, and oh did we have a party!  If there is one thing I can do...it's throw a good party..especially if it happens to have a theme and of course we did.  Taylor decided a while back that she wanted a Minnie Mouse party and I think it is safe to say she LOVED it!  My Mom, Grammy and I all made the cupcakes, Glenda (Gram) made the punch and then I decorated till I had used every inch of ribbon and every balloon in sight!  We had a fun time just enjoying being with our family and celebrating our baby girl turning 2!  She of course was spoiled beyond belief and it did take 2 vehicles to get everything home...wow!  A special Thank You to Grandpa D who stayed home in Vancouver to be with our Haley Girl since she couldn't make the drive down to the beach...we really appreciate you making that sacrafice and hope you enjoy seeing all these pictures.  Thanks to everyone for coming to the party and for helping make Taylor's 2nd Birthday one we will always remember!  Now get ready for all the pics...and of course there are more to come when I can convince my Sis to post her pro pics! :)

Our Sweet Haley Girl

This week our sweet Haley girl was diagnosed with stomach cancer and we were told that we need to prepare ourselves to say goodbye very soon as it is in an advanced stage.  Ryan and I are completely devastated by this news and are in no way ready to say goodbye.  As many of you know Haley is very much a part of our little family and has been since we were first married.  We are doing the best to deal with the news and more importantly taking advantage of every moment we have with her.  At this point we can only take it day by day and be thankful for each one.  Haley is so very loved and we want to make sure she knows that during this very sad time.
