Wishing Everyone A Merry Christmas...

I don't normally post without pictures...but everything is packed right now. We are still waiting to try and make it back home to our families for Christmas after our flight was cancelled due to horrible weather in Portland. We are thankful that we were able to find a flight out for Christmas morning rather than the 26th which is what we were originally told. It will definitely be a very different Christmas for us this year...but it has made me focus on what Christmas is really all about. So after one or two melt-downs I am now making the best of our situation and making new Christmas traditions with my own little family. We are so fortunate to have each other and I am still thankful that we will be able to celebrate with our families...just a little delayed!

Taylor Meets Santa!

One of my favorite things about the holiday season is all the fun traditions! Everyone in my family knows how important they are to me, from having the Christmas decorations out by Thanksgiving weekend to opening stockings first...then breakfast...then the gifts! My parents always did such a great job in making Christmas such a special time and I want to make sure Taylor has that as well. One of my Mom's favorite Christmas traditions has always been the annual Santa picture. So much so that she still begs us "kids" to get a picture taken each year. Finally we have some relief...Taylor is here! Ry and I were so excited to take her to meet Santa for the first time and were surprised at how great she did. No tears...she just stared at him for a bit and then smiled real quick for the picture. Santa even gave her a Christmas coloring book for visiting him at his lodge. Snow Day!

Finally we got a real snow day and it really feels like Christmas now! Besides the major anxiety of driving to work in the snow yesterday...we are loving it...but not as much as Haley! We are heading out to make Taylor's first snowman right now...of course I'll be blogging that later!

Christmas is Coming...

I can't believe it's almost Christmas! It's tradition at our house to pull out all of the Christmas decorations Thanksgiving weekend and we were lucky to have lots of helpers this year! It was so great watching Taylor's eyes light up when we turned the tree's lights on for the first time! We also got to enjoy Gardner Village and all the cute little elves...another fun family tradition!

This year was a special Thanksgiving and we definitely had a lot to be thankful for, of course the first thing we think of is being blessed with Taylor this year. Ryan's family was able to come out to Utah and spend the holiday with us and we had a wonderful time with everyone. We even got to steal Courtney from her family and enjoy some more time with her which was great. I had so much fun playing hostess and had lots of help pulling off a great Thanksgiving dinner! Tay loved her first taste of Turkey and literally gobbled it down! Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends and family, we are so thankful to have you in our lives.

UTAH CRUSHES BYU!!!

Well, it's official...the bug lead the Utes to an undefeated season! Sorry BYU...with Taylor on their side you didn't stand a chance beating UTAH this year. Nice try.

Utes Win Again!

This was really a close one...but the Utes beat TCU 13-10 and are still undefeated! Taylor had to sit this one out because it was so cold...but we watched the game on tv in our BLACK OUT gear and thankfully the Utes still won without Taylor being present....wooh! Two more games to go...can we do it again???

Taylor's 1st Halloween

Happy Halloween! Taylor had a fun first Halloween and loved being a ladybug with Haley girl! We took them both trick-or-treating to a few of the houses in our neighborhood and then spent the rest of the evening answering the door and giving away LOTS of candy to all of the trick-or-treaters. In past years I have attempted to count how many we got...I didn't even try this year. I just know we gave over 400 pieces of candy away! Taylor just loved her costume and kept it on for a few hours...Haley, on the other hand, did not. We got a few pictures and that was that. We had our friends Annie & Murry over and had a fun Halloween night! Here are a few pictures of our little bugs!

SLC Ghost Tour

This past Friday the Goose Girls went on a tour of Salt Lake City and it's ghosts! We had dinner at the Rio Grande which is also where the tour began. We spent the rest of the evening touring Salt Lake and hearing all about the ghosts that haunt it! Lots of fun was had goofing around at the cemetary and Fort Douglas...I even got pictures of orbs!

Don't worry though I'm covered...I threw salt over my shoulder before going home that evening. Oh and everyone remember on the 1st of November to wake up and say "RABBIT, RABBIT, RABBIT"!

Haley Girl Turns 4!

It's hard to believe that our little Habbajoe is already 4 years old! Haley has been the best dog anyone could ask for...loyal, loving and lots of fun! We love her so much and she is such an important part of our little family. Taylor's birthday present to her big sissy was learning to crawl...watch out Haley! Today we had Haley's birthday party at SugarHouse park and invited her best buds...Bailey and Sammy! No birthday hats, cupcakes and party favors like her 1st birthday...but we did have birthday bones and lots of playin' around!

Taylor is kind of a big deal...

So Taylor is officially undefeated so far in the HISTORY of her attending sporting events! This may not seem like a big deal to some of you...but if you know Ryan...you know that this is a VERY BIG deal! She is definitely UTAH'S lucky charm and so it has become her responsibility to cheer them on to VICTORY! Oh and yes despite the fact that Taylor has a full UTAH wardrobe...she "has" to wear this same t-shirt because it's "good luck" for the team!

Of course Tay assisted the Utes in beating Colorado State and we even had some extra help from Ella!

Wee Witches at Gardner Village!

I have been so excited to dress Taylor up in her ladybug costume, so taking her to the Wee Witches event at Gardner Village was the perfect chance! We went with all of her little friends and had a great time seeing all the witches, dancing to the Halloween music and of course taking as many pictures as possible! Aren't they all so cute!!!

Grandma to the Rescue!

When Ryan told me that he would be gone for 8 days I immediately called my Mom and said "YOU HAVE TO COME HELP"...and thankfully she did! Mom was here for 10 days and Papa even got to come out for the last 5 days of the visit! Taylor had so much fun and I swear she grew an inch while they were here! Grandma got to feed her lots of her new foods and helped...no more like did everything for me! Thanks Mom and Dad for coming out to visit...and to Mom for saving me! While Mom was here we worked on some fun Fall Craft Projects and got the house all ready for Taylor's first Halloween! Did I mention that Taylor also turned 6 months old...it's going by so fast, somebody please make it stop!
